Lavender (Lavandula)

Lavender (Lavandula) is a widespread plant found primarily in the Mediterranean countries, but also in other temperate climate zones. It belongs to the mint family and is characterized by its distinctive, aromatic scent. The flowers of the plant are violet to blue in color and grow in dense spikes.
